How CREST 55475 operates with EPL LGB 12010 switch machines

I have some basic questions about using the CREST 55475 Operates with the LGB 12010 switch motors. I recently purchased the 55475 and successfully connected and configured it to my CREST

55473 Receiver.

I have been using the LGB 5075 (orange) toggle control boxes to control my switches and want to add the wireless feature.

For testing I have disconnected one of my 12010 switch motors from the 5075 box and connected it to the A port of the 55475.

When I press the A button the switch moves in one direction. I was assuming that if I press the A button again the switch would move in the other direction. Is this how the 55475 should operate or do I need to do something else?

I am new to this forum so please excuse my ignorance.
Thanks in advance.

The 55475 has an internal dc to dc converter and creates 18 volts when input power of at least 6 volts is applied.

There are 2 different programming features.

Simpliest is each output drives either an epl drive or the old aristo drive.

And you are correct, each key press reverses the output. I use this unit outdoors on my RR and control 5 switches on my mainline for over 10 years.

Do you have the manual? It shows other features for switch motor sequencing.

And if you get the 55474, it can be placed in an engine to control a light and bell/whistle activation.

Thank you for the update, I believe that the unit I recently purchased is defective and only works in one direction. I am returning it for a replacement. I will keep you informed.

You are correct sounds like a defect.

George,

This is the new web site for Crest/REVO.

There may be some help there, if not give Navin a call, he is a most helpful guy.
