Nice one Hans .

Cheap shot, Mike.
He didn’t refer to actual, physical “crutches” and you know it.

Good try, tho.

Have some old friends, she’s Irish, he’s Italian.

So, he comes home from work and she asks “How did your day go?”

“DAYGO? DAYGO? I’m no DAYGO!”

You can twist anything you want to.

(spelling was intentional).

“Flatbread” Mike,

I didn’t address your disability, but I sure hope that Fr.Fred has a better sense of humour than you or I’ll be burning in hell.

I’ll give you a bit of background, one of the things I do is help out with adaptive rowing and sometimes adaptive skiing. I appreciate that life is not a pic-nic and perhaps the group I’m dealing with is not representative, after all they have the gumption to get out there and do things! In addition they have a good sense of humour and as many smart quips as I do. In other words it’s fun to be around them!

BTW did you notice that “crutch” was in quotation marks? Or is there something wrong with your graphics display??

Hi,

where are the news, united washerwomen? LGB will get a new owner. So what? Who cares?
What´s the difference?

Have Fun

Juergen Zirner

Hans is duplicitous enough to do just that .
I read what I read , don’t twist MY words .

No need to twist your words, you don’t seem to be so sure what you write.

Well , Hans , you are always so sure of what you write , you coulcn’t possibly have not meant a double entendre with your distasteful mention of crutches . Any half decent person would apologise for the error if that were indeed the case . But you never do , do you ?
And , as I am obviously the target of superior minds , perhaps you would like to enlighten me and all the others as to just what the heck you are talking about .
Or are you trying to drag this out and use it as an excuse to leave yet another model unfinished ?

sigh

Well, I guess we can never use the word “depends” in a sentence anymore…just in case someone uses that product.

EDIT: ooops. They tell me I can’t say that.

“Flatbread” Mike, You are a little upset, aren’t you? What you read into my posts is certainly not my problem. And there is no reason for me to apologise. You’d be amazed at the progress on all my models, one of them being documented here. Whatelse is in the works is between me, my schedule and my workbench! You already know how it works with my schedule; only paying customers influence it, kibbitzers from the sidelines don’t count except perhaps for entertainment value.   Gotta take the time to have a hearty laugh!

Andre, I’m almost at the point of graphic replies to “Flatbread” Mike.  Like this

Hans
Yes , I am a little upset at your jibe about crutches . I thought better of you .

They look familiar. I was in India once in 1988. Travelling from the Calcutta Airport into the City I noticed lots of round flat things, like the above, laying on the footpath in the sun drying. I was informed by my host that the extreme poor make them from the cattle excreta they scrape up from the road, mould them into flat discs by hand, dry them and sell them for fuel to be used for cooking by the almost equally poor. Mike. You are a Brit. A friendly word of advice. You well know what Hans meant by a “crutch” and it wasn’t a jibe at your disabilities. Show some of the “stiff upper lip” all we Brits were supposedly born with and stop clutching at straws.

Funny thing… I thought I started this thread to discuss LGBs implosion…? Its only the biggest thing news wise going on in large scale right now… I didnt start this so it could be hijacked for personal “discussion” by a few. Can we please take the personal stuff to e-mail or maybe better yet to a dedicated thread topic where members can “discuss” their personal differences all they want without bringing their dirty laundry to other topics? I want to talk trains, LGBs future, and whether or not I should run out and get a Forney before they are all recalled by unsmiling German lawyers…or hold off and wait perchance for yet another Marshalls discount LGB blowout liquidation sale…

Hi Vic,

You’re right! That’s the reason I switched to the graphic - apart from a picture taking the place of a thousand words.

The translations are in progress!

BTW there are some with whom I don’t do email.

HJ I’m eagerly looking forward to your translation. More info the better…so they say.

Update from Ernst Paul Lehmann Patentwerk

Ernst Paul Lehmann Patentwerk OHG (EPL) in Nürnberg, the maker of LGB trains, requested bankruptcy protection on September 18, 2006. The Nürnberg district court then ordered temporary bankruptcy administration, and Dr. Steffen Goede of the law firm Goede, Bergfeld, Waldherr & Hussmann was appointed as the temporary bankruptcy trustee. Dr. Goede started the temporary bankruptcy administration immediately and is conducting the business of EPL together with the current owners, the Richter family.

The common task is now to preserve and secure this enterprise – and the jobs it provides in Nürnberg – for the future. At a factory meeting, the company’s co-workers were updated on all relevant information and were told that wages and salaries are secured for the next three months, no matter what the resolution of the bankruptcy claims. The staff expressed its support of the ongoing efforts to continue the company.

Dr. Goede has already arranged for a meeting today [Wednesday] with all banks involved, so that production and distribution of LGB products to retailers can begin again immediately. The temporary bankruptcy trustee and the management are eager to insure the future of this traditional enterprise, Ernst Paul Lehmann Patentwerk OHG, on a permanent basis.

My comment: I believe their translator is back at work - short holiday - only missed one or two points and added minimal embellishments.

Yeah well, I don’t recall LSC being t-h-a-t politically correct ( check the “Warning”) and while we’re way past 1984 there’s no reason for Newspeak a la Orwell.

For me a spade is still a spade unless it is a shovel and I could post two pictures for anyone who forgot the difference. :frowning:
