From whatever I’ve read so far over there, I’d say: if one truly loves one’s forum one would have to run two RAID servers in tandem. 
He had it running with a mirrored raid but somehow when the one drive went TU it took out the other drive. Then he discovers that his backups were corrupt. How can you have any worse luck…
