Holiday train

I know, I know this is not even halloween but I needed time – and it’s not done yet.

I’m building a holiday train to run on my and the club’s layouts.

Our bright, desert sun washed out the Santa Claus and snowman but they took their first trip today.

Doug,

Great picture! Looks like your got it working.

Thats looks a great cameo Doug. It will be very much appreciated I believe at Christmastide. Though as a northern European I can only equate Santa with snow, not a desert. I suppose it is a matter of how the mind perceived things when in the formative years.

I am reminded to find where my stocking has been put: I wouldn’t want to be missed this year.

That looks great Doug. Love the loco.

The LGB loco and tender I bought used recently. It’s even a powered tender. It runs like a Swiss watch.

Four years ago we got 36 inches of snow at Christmas. It took us three days to dig out and I didn’t see the layout for two weeks!
When we were at the all-scales show this year in Ontario, Calif., Sara spotted a great addition to the train. It’s a music player that’s about 1 1/2 inches square that takes those mini cards. Sara recorded Christmas music yesterday for it. I can also fit it into a 1/24 stock car so I can play train music on my freight train.k

Looks good Doug, Since you did that now, and didn’t save it for later, what you gonna do for “Miks Build Challenge 2014”?

BTW: whats the name of the little music player, and how can I get one?

You mean I have to think of something? You’ll hear the gears grinding!

That little music player is called Music Angel.I would imagine you can get it at Amazon.
