Holiday train displays

It is that time of the year. Someone on one of the other forums did this last year and I though it wasneat to see what everyone did with their trains for the holiday season. Lets see everyones holiday trains either outdoors or around the Christmas Tree. Here is a few shots of mine.

Havent done anything outside yet with my layout but I might do some lights on the trees.

(BUMP)

looks nice Ron. If I get time this weekend and the weather will let me I will try and get pictures of my Christmas train and lights. Its all up to mother nature.

OK… since I already have these on-line I’ll post some crappy scans of snapshots taken of our first LS train around the tree 8 years ago. The following year I expanded and included a switching yard off the loop, but I never got pictures. After that I started building in the basement and haven’t set up under the tree since.

We just set one up yesterday–an old LGB Stainz and some Christmas cars we were given as presents last year There’s a roundy round under the tree

And a spur that goes under the wood stove:

And a two track yard behind the chair:

It’s run off an LGB start set power pack and the 3 switches are remotely controlled. The buildings will eventually make it out to the garden when they’re finished. As a boy I’d have played with this for ours. My daughter, who just turned four, is only a little interested but she’s young. My son, age 17, thinks it’s all too weird. he’s not wrong

Finally got mine done VERY early this morning. Lotsa trains, lol the tree is double tracked
