HLW motorized Lil Big Hauler Boxcar, new pusher car
During the BTS I realized that I was using my little AC pusher motor almost continually and I became concerned I might wear it out prematurely and that a second pusher was needed.
I had an HLW drive brick and an Lil Hauler boxcar that seamed to be a good match. A little basswood stock and:
A little weathering and I’m ready for the next show.
It looks great, Vic. I like it a lot. It should do what you want it to.

I’m assuming this is used on your pizza box layout(s). Have you had any problems with wheels and wear due to the tight radii? Have you tried to make one wheel loose and the other driven, so they aren’t fighting all the time?
They put differentials on cars to help them get around tight corners.

Pete so far not really. I swapped most of the cars to ball bearing wheelsets so the motors are not being taxed like when I first built the layout. Oxidation Gunk is the biggest problem at shows.
