This is gorgeous!
No.
That is the Langwies viaduct on the Arosa line, I model the Albula line.
Maybe I should model it…I already have the train…
Yeah, why not? That line is steep, lots of curves, tunnels, bridges etc.
All I have room for is the bridge…
What a beautiful bridge. How old is it? Looks fairly modern.

The Langwies Viaduct was started on Aug 1, 1912 and completed on July 1, 1914. At the time it was the world’s most remarkable reinforced concrete railway bridge. The main span is 100m, the total length is 287m and the height is 62m above the river Plessur.
More than 7400m³ of concrete and 330 metric tons of reinforcing iron were used.
It reminds me of the Monroe Street Bridge here in Spokane. It’s a year older but is for cars. At the time it was built it was the longest of it’s type in the US (by a foot).

I got the train, too.
Just need the viaduct.

Thanks HJ. I wouldn’t have guessed it was that old.

(i had never seen the photo before i took mine)http://www.lscdata.com/users/blueregal/_forumfiles/speeder605 (WinCE).JPG
jerry that link isn’t werkin fer me damn it
Jerry, I took a look in your freight shed as the link doesn’t work for me either. To have pictures post correctly ALL spaces need to be removed from the file names. If the picture name is made up of 2 words either name it: “MyPicture.jpg” or “My_picture.jpg” or it won’t work. Caps are optional.
That Swiss bridge looks like a Robert Maillart design

Jerry, take the spaces out of your image names.
Vic,
It does but it isn’t.
Every time I see pics of the Swiss railroads it just confirms that I need to go to Switzerland. I have some videos of Swiss stuff from TV programs and I’m always mesmerized. I’ve ridden trains in Spain and Italy (both very enjoyable and efficient) but the Swiss trains are just intrigue me.
Thanks for the link and I’m off to look at your site.
