History Channel "Locomotives"
Seen this many times.
Well, I’ve never seen it. Thanks for posting Joe. Little note - Inventor of the Mag-Lev system shown at the end was a man called Prof Eric Laithwaite. Remember seeing him when I was a child demonstrating this concept on the annual televise Royal Society Christmas lecture (aimed at kids). I made up my mind there and then that he was my definition of a genius - He could take a theory and turn it into a practical application.
Many years later, while working as a colour systems specialist for the Canon copier co I was talking to an unprepossessing gentleman at a product demonstration. He needed more information and handed me his card. His name - Professor Eric Laithwaite. “We are not worthy” I exclaimed silently to myself. Max
Hey, Joe That was a really cool program. I look forward to new Modern Marvels but had missed it on the History Channel…good show. I used to have the DVR search and record shows based on search words like train and railroad but I ended up with too many recordings like Choo Choo Bob, Blazing Saddles and exercise programs…so I narrowed the search…and missed it. The viewing worked out good too. I watched my show on the iPad while my wife caught up on her soaps on the TV. Thanks for putting it out there. Mark
