Train and logging photos start around photo no. 26
Ralph
Ralph,
Great pictures and great history. I’ve always really enjoyed studying and trapsing through the area. I am always amazed at the ignorance of the park employees, when it comes to the history of the area. There seems to be a very concentrated effort to wipe out the logging history and success of the businesses and only talk about how terrible the loggging industry was. About one more generation and there will be no one left to tell the real stories. And yet the same Park Service tries to hide the ridiculous mistakes they have made replanting only one species of trees and how those trees are now being destroyed by disease, instead of used by man.
Good enough for gummint work, them trees.
