… I bought six of the dwarf Alberta spruce today. Along with enough other material to keep me busy all of next week and the week after. Slogan of the week: Moving right along!
Hi H-J,
I love the dwarf Alberta Spruces. But they are not to scale. Does that make them “toy-like”?
I’m sorry, I couldn’t resist.

Wellllllllll Ralph,
I haven’t started pruning yet, have I? Hard to tell the way they come from the supplier, somewhat similar to getting a LGB car and then kitbashing it. Just couldn’t resist, either.
Touche !
All in good fun.

Yep all in good fun. Out the front we have a low growing juniper

The plan is to use that type for heavily wooded mountain sides. Next picture is a scale relation of the AB spruce

Needs to grow some more and can be thinned out by quite a bit.
I planted a couple of Blue Rug Junipers. I know from past experience they spread quickly. I will probably plant a few more Junipers of a another variety for a little different look.
