Here's some really good model photography

I saw this on another forum, thought it was worth sharing. The photography (videography?) on this video looks very professional:

I love the camera movements. Apparently he uses some pro equipment for that. I want to try to build something myself that will do the same thing. Might not be as smooth but I bet I can put together something that will work reasonably well.

I really enjoyed that video. I look forward to seeing what you “adopt” from his work!

I liked that bridge. Looks like a lot of work was put into it.

Nicely done, liked the black and white effect. Regards, Dennis.

I saw a guy videoing one of our layouts a few years ago.
The camera was mounted on a short, heavy pole. On the bottom of it.
He could slowly lift it over bridges, back down to ground level, follow a train at
track level without jerking, etc.
I don’t know if it was a homemade contraption or store bought.

Might have been one of these homemade wooden camera jibs:

Turns out there’s a lot of neat gear you can build yourself to get professional style camera moves. I’m planning to build this smaller, lighter, aluminum jib:

I also want to build one these cheap “steadi-cam” rigs, as well as a camera slider:

Thanks for the links, Ray.
The jib & stabilizer look pretty cool.
