Help in sending 'E-mail'

I just tried sending an ‘E-mail’ to a member using the ‘E-mail’ link under their name in a post (on the left side).
When I did, I got the following page: “New or inactive users are not allowed to send messages to members”

I am logged in and I haven’t posted a message (not counting today) since April 18th of this year.
What is the time period that I’m considered ‘inactive’? I’m not new, since I have an account. Or is this an artifact from the new development page (and I should just try back later in November when the new site is ‘live’)?

Because of recent email spamming, Bob made a change where you have to have made a certain number of posts before you can email members.

Ok thanks. Now just to figure out what the magic number of post is.

There is special software code installed to remove TWO posts from the internal, hidden, full-privilege account for every BS posting of no content or some goofball emoticon in the middle of a row of dots.
