I have two boards I believe may be sound boards but I have no idea who made them or their feaure set.
Does anyone have an idea what they are and if a manual that describes how to install them exist?
Thanks
Stan

I do not know, Stan, but the patent is for a sound card, interesting.

Jerry,
They look like very early Phoenix boards. But I don’t think I have any of the first runs laying around to compare them. I’ll look and see.
That is what I was thinking. I looked up images of the Phoenix model 95 and 96 and they didn’t look like that. The green terminal strips on the ends do look like what Phoenix used.
What does the other side look like? Is there any writing along the edges?
The only writing on the boards is P1 for the terminal strip at the bottom and P2 for the terminal strip on the top. Below is a photo of the rear. The layout for each of these poards is slightly different so the manufacturer was around for more then one release.
Both came out of locomotives which were produced in the 2010 time frame.

Thanks. I had no idea these were old Phoenix boards. Will have to try them out and see what sounds I can load into them.

Yes, early PX boards. I found one. However, I don’t know the series for sure, But Al has it correct.
I suppose someone should have archived the Phoenix site. I used to go there to ID boards all the time. Oh well, glad someone recognized it. The 2K2 was programmable.
