Large Scale Central

Hello from Rhode Island

Hi there, didn’t see a introduce yourself forum (so if there is one please move this!)

I just recently got back in the hobby after a 5-year absence, been hanging out on the other forum because it was the only one that I knew existed for Large Scale trains…see what happens when you have been away for a while!

I am sure some people I will recognize from there.

Anyway, I am excited to begin building my new outdoor layout this spring/summer. Been busy setting up a test track in my basement and trying all my trains too see what still works and what needs some help.

Also started looking/buying pieces to add to my collection (can never have enough).

Lots of things have changed in the last 5-years, some of it not for the better I must say.

Sad too see a lot of the manufactures with not much to sell and not much new coming out.

My (2) local shops say G-scale sales are pretty much dead, one doesn’t even carry it anymore.

The other shop that still has some has been giving me some great deals to buy up his old inventory (which I have been taking advantage of)

Anyway, just saying Hi!

I did post some LGB track and (2) MRC Control Master 20 transformers in the For Sale section, making room for my new stuff!

Have fun,

Vinny

Vinny, Glad to have you join our merry band. This group loves pictures… Can never post to many, but resize them to 800 pixels wide or they won’t post.

Every one here is a pretty good bunch, but a couple of ol’sore heads haunt the tracks, but you’ll figure them out.

Don’t hesitate to ask for advice, or offer yours.

welcome aboard…
