Just goes to show how stupid the beaurocracy of the US really is. Failure to allow a product in the country for 40 years because of the spelling of a word. Didn’t have anything to do with the quality of the product.

I should say it was to do with the drink thing, in no way did I mean to imply the US was silly.

Of course , the Americans may be right , after all , "by the stream and o’er the mead "-- means “…o’er the meadow” . Now , I wouldn’t drink a meadow dry after seeing the cows loitering there . Perhaps the 'murricans are more perceptive than thought .

My maternal Grandfather’s name was Mead. He came from the coal mines of Wales. My sainted mother was a Mead until she became a Featherkile.
I suppose that some would say that explains a lot.
