Headlights in my die cast

I put LED lights in a die cast model kit I got. Drilled out the headlight holes some to fit in the LED, lens fit over that. Red LED’s for the taillights were surface mounted, looked about right to me. Might do a few more cars, hoping to put them in an A&W someday…

Wires come out to a plug on the back.

That works!

Nice! What kind of drill did you use? Die cast stuff is tough to work.

Thanks guys! Ray, just a regular drill big in my Dremel, just kept drilling away, as I recall. Did it awhile back. Just got the streetlight from Bill Wright, he is making them now. Can get them with LED’s or regular bulbs. His email is: quitchakiddin at comcast.net (put in the @ sign where the word ‘at’ is. No spaces.

:D Sounds like it ought to be a river or town in Massachusetts. With historic Indian mounds.

nice!

Cool, jerry…

I’ve got a 55 Buick die cast police car that I put the lights into last year, including one on top. It was out all last summer.

Quitchakiddin is a world famous Mail Packet that transported Mail and supplies around Lake Tahoe in the early 1900’s.
I have misspelled the name,however.
I actually have three styles of parking lot/streetlights that I’m making.
Jerry only likes the one shown with his great looking Buick!
