Last year we decided to have a little fun with our railway…
Our Friday nights in the summer time are usually spent watching one of Penny’s daughters compete at a local short track (raceway) driving a racecar.
She drives for her father and has progressed well over the past few years even winning a feature event last season.
So one night while we were at the raceway last year I was listening to them announce the drivers and there sponsors before the main event and I mentioned to Penny it would be funny to put some sponsorship on her daughters race car and watch the peoples faces as they tried to figure out what the heck is West Shore Railways!
We put up some money at the end of last season to be used for this year, and this year when they announce her daughter they will also be announcing our railway over the PA system at every event!
It is one of the reasons why we created a facebook page for our railway as we figure people will try searching to see what it is!
Should be funny to see what happens, opening night is this Friday!
