Yep, the Northerner Peso aka Canadian Dollar is now at par with the US Dollar. It’s been a while … not only for that but also for the three hour line-ups at the border crossings. That really would cut into the shopping time, wouldn’t it? :lol:

In yesterdays newspaper it was stated that the Oz dollar was also heading for the 90c mark as well. Man has that been a while. In fact not since the Oz dollar was floated has it ever been there.
I can remember when 360 Yen to the Yankee dollar was considered horrible! How will the GI survive in Japan? How will the Japanese be able to sell anything to the GI?
I can remember a time when it cost $1.35 U.S. to buy one Loonie.
It all works out in the end.
Somewhere I have a stash of folding money from various ports of call. I should see if any of it is worth anything, now. Maybe I can get a good deal on that pile of Seyshelles money that I forgot to change back to dollars the last time I was there, ummm, lets see, it might have been in 1992. :lol:
