Large Scale Central

Hauling cucumbers on the RR

Here is a fun video I made recently. The cucumbers were getting too big so it was time to harvest and get to pickling so a train was assembled and sent down to the garden area where the waiting MOW train with the 250 ton crane loaded up the bounty. Take a cab ride down and a caboose ride back home in this video.

Thanks Todd;

What fun! I have seen ears of corn as loads, but this is a first for cucumbers. Such a great use for the garden railway to ship home the produce from the vegetable garden!

What a dizzying trip. I was amazed about the length of the line. Also, Smurfs for workers. I used them once but they make me feel blue.

Reminds me of an old postcard that I saw as a kid, a large watermelon on a flatcar and the caption said, “They Grow Them Bigger In Texas”.

Only in LargeScale Centralia… it’s so competitive!

First we hear of the Cumbres and Toltec railroad in the west.

It had to happen…
The east now has
The Cucumbers & ToolKit railroad? :crazy_face:

Thanks guys. The mainline is about 600’ with another 200’ making up the sidings.

Yep the Cucumbers and Toolkit RR :upside_down_face:
