Hartland two axle tippers

Anyone know the outside dimensions of the HLW tippers? Considering using these as a basis for the mine carts on the SCRY and need to know how large an adit to make at the mine, as I’m fast approaching that part of the “wall.”

Oh… additionally … anyone ever successfully regauge these to 32mm?

All the hlw minis are 3-3/4" wide.

The easiest way to regauge is to cut 6mm off the axle sleeve of each wheel with a razor saw (the two kerfs will make up the other mm) before you slide them on the axle shaft, then put the cut off bit of tube on the outside of the wheel to help hold the gauge. Moving the sideframes inboard, while do-able would be a bit more work

That sounds like a plan. Was thinking of doing just that … glad to hear it works. Now to design something to push them around with …

I’d look into Faller ‘e’ train or Atlas 2 rail O stuff

they might be to small.

the E-train tippers i got have a chassis that is only 2" wide and a tipping container, that is 3" wide at the brim.
