Sadly CSX owns the trackage that NS tried to acquire to no avail…CSX does ZERO preventive maintenance and runs everything into the ground. One day they will wake up and realize maintenance is cheaper?
Yes, the Harpers Ferry derailment is kind of old news now. (At least for me, but I’m only an hour away). Supposedly the derailed cars were put back onto the track, and hauled away by the same locos that were pulling the train in the first place. Everything was cleaned up by Sunday morning.
