Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Ok, the day before Thanksgiving, I’m not much of a holiday guy, but don’t begrudge guy’s that are! So having said that!!

Whatz everyone doing for the big day???

Anything special going on with trains, and or special runs, and or company coming over and running them with you or you just showing them off to your guests???

Lets start the ball rolling and see what everyone is going to be doing!! I will just be eating turkey visiting on line with friends and the temp is going to be -4 here so I may or may not run a train!! I may leave the “live” channel open for anyone who wants to come in and just yakkity yak or visit for awhile sometime after dinner!! Maybe I can get the ole’ guy out in California or my other partners in crime to do the same!! We’ll see and let you know if we do!! Regal

Again! everyone have a nice Thanksgiving! and you know whatz right around the corner too right??? hah LOL

Some family for the right reasons and other family for the wrong reasons. My wife’s aunt’s husband passed last night. The family had gathered to say goodbye, so everyone is in town. My in-laws also are recently retired and moving back to the area. In fact they drove all night to be here. Tonight will be spent unloading and I’m sure some of tomorrow and the rest of the weekend will be unloading & unpacking. Dinner will be at the aunts (& recently passed uncles) so it will be a “different” holiday this year. A few years back my grandfather also passed having reached the century mark a few weeks prior.

In the end while it is sad I AM thankful for the family & friends I have and the time we are allotted to spend together.

Have a great holiday everyone! Blessings!

Family coming in tonight from out of town. Dinner at the son’s about 1pm tomorrow with the turkey he’s been raising all summer. As my 5 year old granddaughter says, “Come on over for dinner, we’re going to cut its head of and eat all of it”

Setup of the Gateway Garden Railroad Club’s layout at 3 pm Friday and the tradition, since I was a kid all these 50 years ago, the big Thanksgiving weekend train show in St. Louis both Saturday and Sunday.

Good friends, good food, good times and oh yeah, the family too.

Happy Thanksgiving Jerry and all.
Family will all be here for dinner in the afternoon at the house we all grew up in.

Like many, having a BIG family get together. Will have 21 family and 5 friends of family for Thanksgiving Dinner :).

The ladies will be doing the ‘Black Friday’ thing while ‘Grandpa’ baby sits (from 4 months to 10 years). Won’t have too much train time tho (:.

Everyone have a Happy and Healthy holiday!!

Yes, I hope all of my south of 49 train friends have a great feast and get to enjoy family and friends.
Just another work day for us canucks, enjoy and hope you have some leftovers.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

We’ll be having dinner with Cris’ parents at the retirement home they recently moved into.

We “did” Thanksgiving Wednesday because my wife has to work at the hospital today. The kids and their SOs and rugrats showed up for a nice day.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!! Might sneak a little time on my new building, wife is going to Black friday with a vengeance, going to be with the family.

Have a looooot to be thankful for.

May work on the ceiling track. Girls aren’t coming till tomorrow. Kim says today’s agenda is: parade, turkey, nap, feetball, more turkey, more feetball, leftovers, snuggle, then snooze

Gonna have my “live” channel open this afternoon mid to late, if anybody gets filled up on turkey, and just wants to stop by and say hi, and or chat for a bit. Think Noel W. in California is doing the same!! Regal

Last night and this morning was spent testing the new wiring on grandson Luke’s Polar Express. Worked fine. This morning was moving rolling stock that was on the “Timesaver” and getting the Shay on the right track. Had to move 2 engines on the ready track to make room for a diesel in the Southern Branch Yard. Luke reviewed the different controllers in preparation for working the Timesaver Yard at the train show. It was a good morning of training.

We are very thankful for all that we have and the extended family that supports us. May all your blessings be great.

is that the Lionel G Polar Express? How does it do on Brass Track? Would it be a good starter for the nephew 3y/o?

Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Now I have to go peel potatoes.

Cale,

I think it would be fine with supervision. It is battery operated and radio controlled, so it will run on any tracks. We’ve had it for 2 Christmas Seasons. I just had to replace the plug form the tender to the engine because of over use.

moved all the Christmas trains from the basement to the office so I can get them outside when the weather lets me. All the outside lights are up and ready for the show to start tonight. Dinner at moms about 4, train show set up tomarrow with Ric and the rest of the club. O look 12:05 nap time

Due to Holiday demand, the Pacolet Valley Railroad added an extra coach to the regular service.
