Happy Fourth of July Everyone!!!
Its me the GS and the cats so we have no adult supervision.
Stopped by Bupp’s and bought some fireworks for tonight.
Smoker is running at capacity with chicken and pork shoulder.
Deviled eggs and coleslaw in the works.
Rangers warming up to trounce the Tigers.
I hope all you train buddies are having as much fun today.

I’ll take an order of pork with cole slaw and deviled eggs.
Don’t start no firework fires on the layout. 
I got to spend the night of the 4th at my in-laws doing dog duty, which means while everyone was outside BBQ ing at fireworking, I was inside watching over two scared pooches. Nala the Frenchy and Frankie the shepherd. Frankie really hates fireworks and was huddled under my legs. Nala was a little better but was still not happy with the reenactment of the Battle of Gettysburg just up the street.
We had a wonderful time, too! Our little town goes “all in,” with a parade that features military formations, bands, folk groups, first responders, you name it.
Being Hawaii, it is a small town America with a twist, this year’s twist being provided by these ladies doing K-Pop / Country cross-over music from the back of a pickup truck.
Later in the day, a civilian team jumped over the town and slowly circled downward on 'chutes trailing Old Glory, a civilian stunt team did an aerial acrobatic demonstration, and the town lit up the bay with fireworks.
Of course, the Triple O was in full dress!

They are reporting a once-in-a-generation railroading event is happening at the N.C. Transportation Museum as they will hosting the first and only gathering of commemorative locomotives from Class I, short line, and passenger railroads, all specially painted to celebrate America’s semiquincentennial. Locos from Canada are going to be there too.
