HAND CAR SHED G SCALE 1/24TH

I READ IN MODEL RAILROADER MAGAZINE ABOUT THE PLANS FOR THEIR HAND CAR SHED SO I FIGURED I WOULD BUILD ONE OF MY OWN …AND HERES WHAT I CAME UP WITH…

this is the back side and side window view …i made this by using craft sticks using the side frames as a guild in glueing up the boards and then adding coffee stirrers as battens for the boards with out cutting them… this is before i cut out the front doors for the track & hand car…

here;s the plans from the magazine originally in S scale but i did mine in G 1/24th scale by blowing up the plans on my computers screen and then measuring it in g scale …then i added to its size

A very nice model. What are the plastic corner pieces you used to make the great right angles?

Doc Tom

paste the photo using the little tree icon in the toolbar at the top of where you are typing.

That is a very clean looking build. You could have entered it in the build challenge with the required Daves’ Door.
What did you use for the corner bracing?

Will this be going outdoors? If so you will want to seal that wood really well against the elements.

Nice build.

those plastic corners look like outside corners for wood paneling from HD. nice work keep the pics. coming.

Richard
