Yes, swapping two wires is minor meatball surgery – IF you know how and are willing to tear into a new loco and basically void the warantee. But just how much does those DPDT micro switches like they put in the bug maulers cost wholesale, anyway? About 30c each? Dang, that would have forced them to make the street price $49 more expensive, right?
Sometimes I wonder if the manufacturers have baboons giving the final OK to some of these decisions.
