Richard,
Welcome!
I transferred a BBT drive from one ten wheeler to another using Dave’s instructions.
You can do it and there are a lot of people here, that will guide you through any tough parts.
Start with laying it over on a bath towel. Then its righty tighty lefty loosey.
And its OK to have screws left over…I have a box full of them…
Do you know how many you end up with when you remove an Ames Super Socket Wih Integrated Production Electronics?
Snicker.
GUFFAW!
Why you p!ssing on Stan?
A new guy signs on LSC and you have to get on your high Horse?
Welcome aboard the train. I think you will like the ride.
Tom
Greetings Everyone!
A very belated thanks to all who have welcomed me aboard. I’m a teacher and when the school year begins everything else ceases…hence my absence.
But I’m back with my Bachmann Connie somewhat apart on the kitchen table readying it for my BBT gear and motor. My problem is I’m not very acquainted with the terminology so I have to turn to Google to figure out what things are.
I’ll keep everyone posted on progress this weekend. I have my whit flag of surrender if things get to daunting.
I’ll also post pictures soon when I get a few more things accomplished.
Thanks,
Richard
You can do it! We have confidence in you!
We love pictures!
Welcome!
The conversion is kind of indepth but not hard. Read the instructions through figure out what you don’t know then go slowly step by step.
If you have questions ask you’ll get lots of answers.
Terry
Welcome Richard. Don’t be shy. Feel free to post pictures etc… we love pictures here.

Richard Who?
Well there sure seems like an issues sting using Internet Explorer…but I have been successful installing Barry’s gear and motor in my 2-8-0 Connie. I even had the chance to do a late night test run Sunday night. So thanks for the encouragement. And thanks to TOC for wisdom and instruction. I’m look forward to many years running this engine.
The one sad realization is that I now have a few tight curves in newest phase which causes my new AMS Jackson Sharp coaches to derail. Not sure if the body mounted couplers are causing more restrictions and less forgiveness… I think I can easily smooth out some of these curves.
Will post pictures soon
Richard
