Xavier, I love it… Fantastic job…

Thank you very much Andy.
I have a question for everybody.
I would like to put a few cars in the diorama. Two or three pickup and three or four cars.
For the era (between wars) what vehicles can recommend me?
Thanks for your time.

Regards,

Xavier

I’m not sure what era you’re looking at but I have a couple of places to start looking. Last year I bought a 1935 Ford van from Mik. You might want to ask him if he has anything he wants to part with. You might also want to check with Dave at Ozark Miniatures. He found some nice 1918 cars in his warehouse that he didn’t remember having. I grabbed two of them. You might see if has found any trucks.

Doug, thanks to take your time for answer my post.
Well, maybe I not explain correctly. The subject is from 1918 to 1936 (Here we call this era “between wars”)
I want to put in scene a few cars. Maybe some pickups and some cars and trucks.
If you know some web to see these cars, is just all I need.
Thank you,

Xavier

Here you go. Over 300 vehicles.

Thanks Ralph. Very usefull for me.

Xavier

You might take a look here. I have found them to be very helpful.

Ummmmm, Ralph, are you sure he is looking for full sized restoration vehicles? Look at those prices.

Steve,
It was a source for pictures. Xavier doesn’t strike me as the type to go out and buy a bunch of die cast cars.
Ralph

Xavier - What scale are you working in. The photo with your hand in it looks like you might be working in 1:32 or even smaller.

Hi Jon,
yes, you have an hawk eye ! 1:32 is all my production (gauge one)

Xavier

Thanks Steve,
I found 2 cars in this site.

Xavier

Hi !
This is an update of this project.
Just a diorama base, a few junk and a pickup with the corporate colors.

Hope you like it.

Regards,

Xavier

Very nice work! i always like the detail that you can get modeling inside. Did you model the station from a prototype?

Terry

Thanks Terry.

I was inspired by a model of Chuck Doan and some images found on the web about gas stations of the era.

Xavier

Great job, Xavier! Great photography, too!

Thanks so much guys !!!

I would like to put 3 or 4 more cars in this diorama, and gas pump and other details.

Regards

Xavier

Hello. !
Sorry, but for some time I was too busy and I can't post anything.

Well, for today just a small update....

I need to apply a weather effect to the bike, but not so much... or not. I don't know yet.
Hope you like it.
Thanks

Xavier

That looks great, I think a little dust on the bike would do nicely.
