Large Scale Central

Great postcard if you need some inspiration-Greasy Spoon Cafe

I found this while researching another old building. Yeah its either retouched or photoshopped but its still a great postcard and would be great on someones layout, have to find a way to integrate some of the qoutes on this onto my layout. The “pies” quote according the Benny Hill should say “Pies like Mom made: $1.00, pies like Mom tried to make but couldnt: 50 cents”

The building isn’t too far off from the Cigar Store Rooster built for me…

A Stingray and a Cobra.
At least you have good taste.

We have an actual Greasy Spoon diner about 12 miles up Hwy 101 in Langlois. They served a great breakfast the last time I was there.

Egads, Richard…your travels are getting longer…soon you will reach my place, if you keep this up !
For a man that says he never goes much past the local trafic lights; 12 miles is sure a long distance…!!

Fred....It was an over nighter! ;) I rarely go beyond the safety protection offered by our one and only blinking traffic light. It is a symbol of order and safe harbor (harbour to you); a beacon to light the darkness. Even Terry is reluctant to leave its shining presence and has been said to stand in awe and wonder of it for hours at a time. Besides once the town can afford a parking meter of its very own there will never be a need to leave at all. :)

Anyway I don’t think my garden tractor could make it to your place although it’d be a great privilege to do so sometime.
