They will be missed. My low budget projects get lower and lower as fewer and fewer parts are available.
Doug, yea. I am already building most of my own windows anyway. But they made a nice brake-wheel/pawl set.
Being just down the street a little ways, I had heard rumors, and now their website confirms it, that Grandt is selling its tooling to “a reputable company.” Good news!
Time will tell

Dear Modeler:
As many of you have requested we have posted a cross reference from Grandt line numbers to our equivalents. We believe it has virtually all of the HO items and some items in other scales. If you know of any equivalents we have missed, please let us know so we can include them. The update for other scales will be finished by the middle June and the chart updated. The chart is listed under the catalog tab on the home page. Here is a direct link:

I notice on Tichy Trains website they only list “S“ and “O” scale no ”G”. so they would have to start a whole new line of products to help us

And the Grandt web site says they still are not releasing the name of the new company taking over production, so I would not expect Tichy to be adding a whole new line for G …
No. But there are other modelers, besides me, that model in more then one scale. So I thought I would help those who also model in the smaller scales, by posting this.
I hope that whoever does take on the large scale variety of Grandt Line Products, doesn’t just sit on the molds. I hope they ramp up production rather quickly.
All, I have just read over on the C&Sn3 forum that Leadville shops will be taking over the Grandt line products as well as san Juan decals and car kits and merging into there line of exquisite kits.
I have asked about large scale support for these product lines.

AL, who cares about that small group of oddballs that model in large scale anyway? (https://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)(https://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)
We do, because its us.
That’s good news, especially if they will produce the large scale stuff too.
Strange …
All Tichy announced is they are making ‘equivalents’ in their scales, not that they are using Grandt molds for G and the S scale folks are so limited that I doubt if they’d also carry G. Looks more like the carving up of a source than it’s salvation.
I’m more resigned to take the wait and see approach.
Apparently they will continue selling LS windows and decals. Nothing said about doors but I would have to think they would be included, as well. Word on the streets of Concord is that Tichy already had some of the molds for the smaller scales …

I wonder how long these types of businesses can continue? It must be very hard to compete with the 3D printing world - maybe more so in large scale, but I’m sure 3D printers will continue to improve so that even the smaller scales are affected. Sure, not everyone wants to purchase an expensive 3D printer, or go through the design process, but there are already sites like Thingiverse that allow sharing of designs, and the price of 3D printers IS coming down. Tough time to be in that business, I’m betting.
