GrandkidsEggliner for Easter

The Grandkids’ [Christian, Kelsey, and Luke] Easter train could be positively described as an “Eggliner.”

Note the switch on top of the battery-egg to power the Eggliner. JimC.

Not to rain on your post. But I have been curious… are there really such prototypical Eggliners?

There were, but they found out that the ears blew off when running on the NY to Chicago route...so they were curtailed

You are Definitely not raining on my parade or the Grandkids’ parade.

A Man goes through ffive stages of life:
Believing in Santa,
Not believing in Santa,
Being Santa,
Looking like Santa,
Second Childhood.

There are some things you just have to believe in if you want to enter into your second childhood:
Santa,
Easter Bunny,
Eggliners,
Tooth Fairy,
Garden Railroads are not toys.

Almost exclusively an east coast aberration.
During the holidays, those ears doubles as pantographs.

The trouble was, when the fur got dirty, they’d get “flashovers” and a HUGE fireball…

Prototype for the Eggliner? Aristo says not really, but does include this picture:

Happy Easter
To all our new LSC friends, whatever your beliefs or creed, we wish you a day filled with Love, Happiness, Safety, Family and/or Friends. We will celebrate Resurection Day with Worship, family, food, Easter egg hunts, trains, baseball, and other games.
…and Oh, can I say Grandkids again?

Here’s the real deal for easter running…a “Plum Pretty” eggliner owned by Andre Schofield…from the RR Estate of Tiny Pearce…

Jim,

It’s a good thing those ears aren’t chocklit. They wouldn’t stand a chance around my grandkids!
