An example of Bachmann’s factory paint.
Car on right is out of the smashed box.
Car on left is out of a smashed Virginia & Truckee box.
Only the roof has been changed.
So what’s going on in car 18? Guy in 2nd window from the left is reaching over the seat to the guy in the blue skull cap. 3rd window appears to be the look out??
Sign of a successful railway line with that amount of ridership!
Bill, nearly all my passenger tickets are sold out. There’s a few empty seats.
Isn’t that what passenger trains are for?
I wonder if Rooster’s AmTrak has any paying customers, or are they used for “ferry” moves. (An empty car being “ferried” to another point on the railroad, such as the car shops)
TONS …you just can’t see them cause the windows are heavily tinted out in typical Amtrak fashion.
The Bachmann D&RGW has no markings from the factory. Just the strip on the roof.
Knowing that Bachmann did some other roads in that color, my V&T baggage car had some numbers and graphics.
I just swapped out the roofs and now she’s marked. Is there a prototype for this car number? Who knows.
I’m not known for counting rivets.
