Large Scale Central

Grand unveiling of the In-ko-pah RR

Last weekend we handed out invitations to all the neighbors on our block to come see the railroad today, now that it’s finally operational. Only a couple of them had ever seen it during the two and a half years of construction.

Turnout was a bit disappointing, but the folks who did come were all very impressed and looking forward to seeing it again.

It was fun to watch the kids going back and forth as they “chased” the train zigzagging up the grade.

That is great, Ray.
The fun nieces, nephews, grandchildren and their friends have watching the trains is really priceless.
And they don’t care I have a narrow gauge loco pulling standard gauge cars!

But one day they will realize that you have deceived them ...

No, They will look back at what a great time they had. Ralph

Ralph,

That’s right.

Around here half the neighbourhood is anticipating the inaugural train on the mini-RhB. Age bracket 4 to 84! I was surprised how many train nuts there are in the neighbourhood.

That pile of rocks and gravel in the driveway triggered a few extra questions. No progress on moving the stuff, too busy with other things and the weather was wet, wet, wet.

The only regret I’ve got about the trip Kay and I are making in Sept - Oct is there’s no chance of squeezing in San Diego.

Ray,

Congratulations on the completion of the line. I checked your website and did not see anything new posted. Please let us know when you are ready to share some more pictures. Again, thanks for sharing and congratualtions.

Sorry 'bout that, I haven’t gotten the new pics up yet. I should have them later this week.

The management of the Port Orford Coast R.R. would like to extend its congratulations on the completion and inaugural run of the In-Ko-Pah Railroad.

Great news Ray! I’ll be looking for pix! [:)]
