Got to work on the Railroad..........I love sunshine

Ok, After 10+ days in a row of rain and two weeks with I think 1 sunny day I got to do some work on the railroad. the first 4 pictures are what it looked like before I got to work on it.

Weeds took over this winter.

More weeds

and still more weeds

Also had lots of wash outs all over the railroad.

now here is what I got done this weekend.

Got some new trees in along the mountain area, Water fall is to the right. Weeds are gone too.

put some flowers in to add some color.

a good cleaning of the area and added some mulch.

here is a pic of the waterfall and pond. the tiki hut is new, allways need a good place to have a drink after a long day of working on the railroad. Still have to fix all the wash outs but did have trians working today.

No trains!

Heck, I’ve got a dozen gondolas for tools, ballast, and whatever, run the work train out and go to work!

That is a pretty kwel layout in the front yard. ++

Layout looks “normal”, but you’ll fix that.

trains next weekend, waiting for my rail clamps to work on the track. I did the garden part of it this time.

I had to use the front yard, the dogs would not let me use the back yard.

I only showed what i got done, there is still lots more to do. Also, Advil is the new word of the day.

Ok. Had a nice day so after work I got the guys up and out on the railroad to do some more work.

#5 was called out to help clean up a downed tree at the Lake George station.

#5 has got the downed tree loaded and just in time as the #12 is coming by the Lake George station.

here is the big 2-8-8-2 pulling a load of Boulders that are being used to line the track at tiger eyes bend to help hold the road bed.
