Ever since I built the ‘mountain’ to cover the trailer tongue last year, my eldest daughter has been hinting (demanding, yapping, everything but buying them herself) that, in HER considered opinion, it desperately needed a flock of goats. I’d seen the sets on fleabay, but thought they were a bit spendy… Turns out that they are marked up quite a bit. They’re New Ray, and I found them in a store. 2 of his sets of goats, plus a 1/32 farmer and 8 pieces of fence for $2.99… The farmer was too small to be usable in 1/24, but I had a cheap German one in a box.
Hey Mik,
What scale are they? Could you measure one of the adult goats? Thanks!
They are nominally 1/32. The adult goats are about 1" tall at the shoulder, and about 1-3/4" long. Big enough for nigerian dwarf, oberhalsi, spanish, or fainting goats in 1/24 or probably pygmy or kinder in 1/20. They’d be about right for Alpines or Toggenbergs in 1/29
The sets all seem to come with half the goats in black, and your choice of white or brown for the other half
Hey lets all do the goat dance!
Mik & All; Here are some people and critters I purchased in Richmond, Indiana the first week of June. We were there to visit my wife’s family, but I always try to go to a store called Veach’s while we are there. The store has a wonderful selection of Schleich figures. As you can see, both the bison herd and the cattle herd will be doubled.

So THAT is who makes the blacksmith! I had picked mine up at the ECLSTS in York, but there was no indication of who made it. He makes a pretty good 1:20 character. I modified him a bit - and used his head on a seated guy as well.
