They make small, lightweight and not expensive video cameras. Even the standard def videos were great.

WOW - That’s small
(http://www.goprocamera.com/images/products/large/683_large_GRCHW5170-04-683x426.jpg)
And inexpensive for what you get $180 for teh standard def designed for R/C cars.
I may as well just throw $180 out the window.
I’d loose that sucker before I had a chance to use it.

There’s also the old folks version that you can’t lose -

Wow! You could fit that in the cab of some locos, get an engineer’s eye view of the layout.
It would also be perfect for use in model rockets.
$139 for the wrist version, I’m sure you could take it off the strap.
You can also order the Wide Hero version to save a few bucks and just order the attachments separately (like the tripod mount).
Here’s another vid (edited a bit) shot on a clients layout with poor light (late in the day on a cloudy day)-

That’s a serious horn you’ve got on that rail truck Brian !! Sounds and looks great.
Jon Radder said:Courtesy of the internet :P and added in using MS MovieMaker (first time playing with it). My client asked if I could add some horn sounds. The engine sound is from the rail truck though. I found a bunch of neat sounds here - http://free.ringtones-download.biz/files.php?q=diesel+horn
