Goose bash gets an Upgrade

Here’s what I had:

Its a small Goose built on an LGB Handcar unit, it work OK but was never a very good slow speed runner, and during the Nat Narrow Gauge Conv while running it decided to commit hari-kiri in a delicious cloud of Ozone. So I have been looking for a replacement drive since August, nothing really seamed right and I decided to not use another handcar chassis. I found for auction on Fleabay a drive block and sideframes from a USA 20 tonner that looked like it would work well as a replacement, luckily I won it, and once it arrived I immedialty looked and all it needed was to shorten the side frames. I was even able to reuse the frames mounting holes into the Goose body. It didnt even need to be repainted:

Thats going to look fine on the pizza.

Hows the Big Boy comming?

Why am I suddenly envisioning the new “Millipede” class: 2-2-4-4-4-4-2-2?

It looks better with the USA chasis and with the extra skid for power pickup you will be able to run at slower speeds without stalling out on switches.

NICE.

Ever the inspiration!

Coincidence or not…

Victor and Victor

…He now works at the Sodor Steamworks and is always busy finding, delivering, or collecting parts and supervising activities around the yard…

But wouldn’t that be a gosling?
