Hello all,
I am looking for a 1" 8 ohm 1 watt speaker for using in my Eggliner. What sites sell this kind of speaker?

Parts Express
Thank you John and Dan. I think I found the right speaker.
Notice parts-express carries the full line of Visaton, and for about 1/2 the price.
I agree. I get all my speakers from parts express, and they are Visatons
Joe, I just noticed you are looking for a 1" speaker… that’s awfully small, I would encourage you to use at least a 2" speaker.
Yes, you will have to reorganize your electronics, but it will make a lot of difference in sound. Are you trying to place the speaker inside or underneath outside?
Greg
The speaker is going on the inside on one of the ends. I was thinking of mounting it facing down, but I am also considering positioning it vertically. Kevin (Strong) recommended I use such a small speaker. The most room available for a horizontal mount is about 1 1/4 ". Obviously there would be more room if I can mount it vertically. For what it’s worth I ordered a Visaton K28wp and it should be here by Thursday. It was the only speaker that was even remotely the right size and had the right specs.
Hi Joe, with smaller low wattage speakers make sure you reduce the peak wattage output of the P8 board to 1 watt. The default is usually 2 watts. I have customers blown many 2 watt speakers when playing the P8 too loud.
If you can fit a 1.5" review this Dayton Audio speaker. It can handle the P8 power.

Huge difference in size between the 2, thus the large difference in power handling.
I have gotten good sound inside an eggliner with a 2" speaker, I think you could fit one and get really nice results. It all depends on how hard you want to run it (i.e. volume).
I don’t plan on having very much volume, I just want to be able to hear it from about 4 or 5 feet away. The max for power handling on the 1" speaker I ordered is 2 watts, so I think it will do the job. I bench tested my p8 with a 1 watt speaker, and it seemed to work just fine. The volume was plenty loud, although since I bought the p8 used, it is possible that the peak wattage has been lowered by the previous owner.
