Sara and I just returned from Gold Coast’s auxiliary store in Tahachapi where they’re having an open house.

Not only were the prices good but the weather was nice.

I picked up a Hartland Mighty Mac to kitbash. It’s new and was $49.

I also got a Colorado and Southern caboose with steel wheels for $20.

I picked up four pairs of steel wheels for $4 apiece.

And four people and three crates for $10.

Hans also has a lot of LGB engines, new and used. The budget wasn’t up to it but I’m sure the prices were right.

Hey Doug, I went too. Hans had mentioned it last time I was saw him. I only went because we had to leave some stuff at an inlaws in Palmdale and I convinced my wife to go “antiquing” in Tehachapi…with a quick stop at the shop.
My first time there. Took me long enough to get there. I finally got a good look at the Lil Big Hauler line.SWEET! I also talked with the Bmann rep, they have plans to use the drives for more detailed models so thats worth looking forward to. Anyways I got two Lil Big Hauler cars, more on that later.

BTW wife got some nice jewelry pieces in compensation and some great BBQ at a place called Red House :wink:

We are good at “bribes.” Sara went to two quilt shops while we were there! She didn’t spend as much as I did!
