Going to see a "train" movie tomorrow

A full report to follow after screening The John Galt Railroad Line movie tomorrow in Warrington, PA.

[P.S. keep the politics out of this discussion.]

The movie was set in year 2016 so no steam engines. There were a lot of long shots of trains, some supposedly of the Philadelphia yard shots, I caught some action in a hump yard, The scenery in Colorado and the John Galt Line running over the new Rearden Metal bridge was spectacular with a bullet train as the star of the scene.

Replacing the track with the new metal was done with a modern machine that picks out the ties, lays down the concrete ties and the new blue track with a flanger grading the ballast…

A little bedroom scene, the “mystery man” popping in unexpectedly, and people disappearing. All in all it was true to the novel with a small bit of captioning to exp-lain when required.

I took a center left liberal with me and he enjoyed the film and wants to see the next parts.
