Then why does it say the following on the main Forum page?

That means our Benevolent Dictator may, at his whim, delete posts from this forum.
You have the power to delete individual postings, but not the entire thread.

Since up until that point, he had always given serious automotive repair advice, I puzzled for days on some magic properties of the clay in a brick removing scratches.
Days later I realized it was tongue in cheek, smash the windshield and no more scratches (or windshield for that matter)…
So the answer to the OP:
- shut your eyes
- turn off the monitor
- leave the room
- use a brick
