Getting back to the trains

Well it has been a while. Kristi is doing great and her body is dealing with the clots by making new vains around the clots. She still has to take it easy and careful so she doesn’t do anything to start any internal bleeding again.
I went back to work after Marty’s and still trying to get back in the swing of it. It was kind of hard to go back after being off almost a year.
Been dusting off the cobwebs in the shop and getting things back up and running. About the only thing I’ve keep up on in the shop is the gearboxes. I still need to get some metal ordered so I can get caught up on castings. Just before Kristi got sick, I bought a lot of RTV rubber, resin and epoxy casting material to start casting some parts like frogs and some of the larger casting that I was doing in white metal. Last week I made a couple molds and they cane out great. I have a vacuum chamber to deair the RTV and a pressure pot to deair the castings.
I have done some work on a connie and will get some photos up on the connie thread soon. I also have a 3D printer that I’ve built and working on getting the X.Y and Z axis calibrated. Then will work on calibrating the extruder… I will post some photos of it in the 3D printer in a new thread.
Again THANKS for your prayers and they were answered.

Rodney and Kristi

This is great news! Kind of sets the priorities, doesn’t it? Very happy for both of you and your family. Actually happy for all of us that know you guys. Gives good feelings for the Holiday Season.

Great news Rodney. Thanks for letting us know.

Glad to hear it Rodney!

Just in time for the holidays!

Rodney, Great to hear some good news…

What they all said…

Yep! Glad to hear it Rodney. Good luck.

Hey Rodney, It’s always good to see God answer prayers. God Bless!!

That’s good news for sure. Now, back to work!

That is great news!

Hi Rod,
Good to hear she is doing well. Please post the info on the connie, I just got one that needs a little help.

Chuck

I’m glad she is doing well, a nice Christmas present.

Yes! A real Christmas blessing for your family for sure! Every day with those we care most about is a treasure.

Hi Rod, glad to hear the good news!

This is a great family to belong to. There is a lot of caring friends here. Thanks again for all the support.

I had a lot of stuff that was in the works and trying to get them done first.
First is to finish up the C-21 and C25 frames. The last few days I got a most of the parts done and have just a couple more left to make.
Then I’ll start casting epoxy frogs for switches. I’m going to use epoxy over resin for durability. The epoxy is suppose to be more UV stable also.

Hey Rodney
Glad things are going well again. Welcome back!
