Get a life

Living on the other side of the world, it’s great to have a venue to exchange ideas on whatever we want, from trains to politics. I’ve now lived in Australia longer than the US, but I still feel very much an American.

I’ve spent a lot more time on LSC the last couple of weeks than usual. Kay and I were due to fly to the USA via Japan and Vancouver on the 19th, then on to Europe. Unfortunately, Kay broke her leg at work a fortnight ago, so the trip’s off.

We’re sad, as you can imagine. Being able to come in here and jawbone has helped me get my mind off it.

Bummer, sorry to hear about your wife and your trip.

But… but… well, it tis Silly Season  :open_mouth:

Dave:

I am really sorry to read about Kay’s accident. Please tell her we wish for her quick and complete recovery.

From your previous posts, I know how much you were looking forward to your round the world trip. I truly hope that you are able to reschedule it in the near future, as it sounded like a great adventure.

Sincere Regards & Happier RRing,

Jerry

Thanks, amigos.

Plaster cast went on Monday, so Kay has five weeks to start planning for next year!
