Large Scale Central

Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge TN any train related things to do?

I need some help. My in laws have booked a family vacation for us in the Pigeon Forge region at the end of June. I was wondering if ther is anything train related to see. It can be any scale but family friendly I have a 3 year old that is pretty good. Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Todd S. Siddle

I believe they run some steam engines at Dollywood.

Try “The Christmas Shop” They had a small layout outside and a small layout inside "G"scale that’s as of 2 years ago.

Todd…I replied at MLS, and as I said there…the Christmas Shop is where I first saw LS Trains…came home and found Tiny P. online, decided on Battery and RC…been up/down hill since then!

at least one of the Dollywood engines is a sister to #190 Yukon Queen at Tweetsie!

Todd,

The “Little River Lumber Company” Museum is in Townsend at the west entrance to the Great Smokie Mountain National Park. They have an old Shay and a museum packed full of pictures. Good stuff. If you go to Townsend by way of the park (going in at Gatlinburg and out at Townsend) you are traveling on old Little River right of way. I’ve got books, if we can get together.
