I have been subscribed to the Garden Railways Forum (and it follows their others I suppose) for ten years. Only once have I ever had issues when signing in and that was after their major software update. I am not a prolific poster however.
Personally I do not find GR and its Forum of great interest now, what I do find interesting is Classic Trains - for info and pics of the transition period, also Garden Railroader which has a ‘any scale’ thread entitled 'prototype information for the modeler. Being in the UK both these places have been of help in how I operate and a degree of authenticity.
However, I am aware that their is, as it is said, a protype for everything, railroad rolling stock does rock often when on the move, and of course the 10ft. rule. Few visitors know much, if anything, about American railroads so I could get away with anything, but I d prefer to try for some accuracy.
