I got a spam email today – just the usual “send us all your personal info so we can send you lots of money” rubbish. But the grammar was so goofy that it was somewhat amusing. Clearly, a non-native speaker of English mis-using big words in a vain attempt to sound “official”. Anyway, I thought I’d post a sample here for your enjoyment:
"Dear Winner, We Apologise for the delay of your payment and all the inconveniences that we might have indulged you through. However, we were having some minor problems with our payment system, which is inexplicable, and have held us stranded and indolent, not having the aspiration to devote our 100% assiduity in accrediting foreign payments.
“…I wish to inform you now that the square peg is now in square whole and we have the audacity to say that your payment is being processed and will be released to you as soon as you respond to this letter.”
