Would anybody know who it was that produced the last Galloping Goose in G scale? What size was the production model?
William,
Accucraft has made the most accurate ones in 1:20.3 they have done #2, 4, 5, 6(Berlin) & 7 in various eras, so you get to pick and choose. they generally have a couple available at any time.
Al P.
Bachman put out a model of one too, in 1:2.3 scale…much less expensive…even came in RGS lettering…I had one around here for a long time, Bill; but never ran it…sold it not long ago, to one of our American visitors…
And Aristo did one in brass. Or, more accurately, that had one done for them in brass.
Thanks all; it was just a query of interest!
I was not aware that Aristo did one of the geese… they made a couple of rail buses but not any of the famous D&RG geese.
Also, Berlyn is the proper spelling not Berlin for those researching.
Greg
nothing to add here other than “Welcome William!”
my best friend shares your name (minus the e at the end)…took two glances when I saw your post
Cale
Trainworld still have Bachmann “Goose type” raltrucks at $79.99 IF you want one.
I have 2 of the B’mann ones, Bill. I’ll bring’em up with me in July.
Nice ones Ken!
Great looking Ken are they both battey power
Thanks
Both are battery powered, but just the van has RC and a sound system…
Oh, and the one in the top pictured had it’s number changed to No 2.
This is not one of the “official” geese, but the Casey Jones, by Berlyn… the original is still operational.
It has 4 speakers and a sound system hidden under the seat.
Ken; I like that 1 with the beige/yellow tarpaulin. If it’s not to dear & still available; I could be interested in making a deal!
