Full Scale Abandoned Train
A little heavy-handed on the weathering, don’t you think?
Apparently it’s still in business:

I bet some Excursion/Tourist railroads are drooling to get their hands on some of those Coaches and even some of the Locos to refurb.
Killer video!
Ken I believe the link you pulled up is from 2012, if you’ll note its from the Internet Wayback machine…

Could be. I do remember seeing trains running through Salem, NJ not too long ago.

I was thinking the same thing. And then when I saw the pill bottle pile in the caboose, I thought “Wow, somebody has a drug habit”. I don’t need some strung out person chasing me because I found their stash.
To be correct…that is NOT a “Train”. It is two locomotives…an A unit and a B unit…that does not make it a TRAIN.
Excellent video Joe! I was expecting the drone to get taken out by a passing train as it crossed over the bridge though. Credit that to a misspent youth of too many Roadrunner cartoons.
Clearly the correction police did not watch the video or read the previous posts or “Officer Iamalwaysright” would have noticed that it is a pair of A units butt to butt and that the video shows an assortment of rolling stock including a coach, four door baggage, flatcar, tanker, caboose and an RPO. So the dis-ambiguous definition of train applies, “a connected series of vehicles that move along a track”.
C’mon, men, c’mon, we’re in danger of slipping below the Mendoza Line of smart alecky remarks…there’s a home run to be made on the dozens of empty prescription medicine bottles at the end of the video. Who shall be first to step up to the plate???
Challenge accepted…
Fianally we have discovered the inspiration for Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train”

Gee I though I did.

Gee Boomer. How do you really feel?

An RDC is not a locomotive or a train?
I really enjoyed that, Joe. Thanks for posting it!

I saw that Maynard…but it wasn’t smart-alecky, it was good common sense, or at least exactly what I would have done had I come upon such a stash! I had a worker show up at my house a few years back late for work because he had been shot in the leg the night before. Really. How’d it happen? He heard gunshots coming from the backyard of his neighbor so he ran over to find out what was going on and ended up with a ricochet in his leg. Geez, you must be kidding, you got to be. Me, I hear gunshots, I go in the opposite direction!

Fred,
You are not paying attention. There is an A+A not an A+B in the video that you didn’t bother to watch. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
John, Well, when I heard a gunshot in front of my house, I did wander from my backyard to the front yard to see what was going on. But I carefully peaked my head around the corner of the house to see that it was a police officer that had fired the shot. He was putting a sick racoon out of it’s misery. I just had to turn and leave.
Joe, it was 2 A units, back to back. And the fly through was really cool. It must have been one of them small drones, to get into them F units like that.
Rooster…An RDC is a self propelled vehicle. So its not really a train in and of itself. And since it seldom actually pulls anything, I would hesitate to call it a locomotive. Its the odd exception. And that is why I want to build the predecessor to the RDC, because its odd.
So I guess the consensus is that Fred, or “Officer Iamalwaysright”, didn’t watch the video?
