Puyallup, WA F1 Tornado Had 110 MPH Winds Wild night in Western Washington. I used to live in Puyallup.
Puyallup could now be called “knock y’all down”…
Greg
(for people who don’t know it’s pronounced “pull y’all up” )

Actually Greg it’s closer to Phew-owl-up.
The Boeing assembly plant is technically in Fredrickson, but Puyallup is close enough!
Well, those of us that lived there called it Pee-u-al-up, with the accent on the third syllable. Or Pee y’all up, with the accent on the second syllable. The second one is probably closer. Still, no matter how you pronounce it, it is spelled wrong.
I blame Bart!
Funny with those grainy pictures those cars kinda look like HO model trains, lol
I thought it was Pew WALL up.
It does look like lichen (weeds), huh?
Trackwork is too nice to be a model.
Dang even us Washingtonians can’t agree on the correct pronunciation… How the heck do we expect the rest of the nation to say it correctly…
Heck, in North Puyallup, which is just south of Tacoma, WA, they pronounce it P-U-al-ip, because they get the fresh Tacoma-aroma on the North Wind.
Aren’t the trucks sposed to come off when a car lays over. Nothing holds them on except the weight of the car.
I dunno. Check with King 5 TV. They wouldn’t Photoshop, would they?
The 3rd car from the end actully has the truck still on the track, my guess would be a friction pinch on the pin as it tipped over kept them in place, you could probably walk up and push it off now that it’s on it’s side.
Cool, where did you find that?
Happened in Frederickson, Wa… 7 miles S of Pewallup…whatever…
Guess they couldn’t pronounce that name.

Very funny to me. We started an operating session here Saturday and the same thing happened on the POC. Seven cars knocked over by winds all in a neat row.
Did get about an hour of running though until we had to accede to the whim of the wind and retire. Just another example of prototypical ops. heehee!

That trackwork is amazing for what looks to be an industrial siding?
