Staples…OUCH! Get Better Fred!
Today, I can safely say; I’m well on my route to full recovery. I even managed to put the garbage out this morning…
Sounds good Fred! Next you’ll be laying track!
Welcome back, Fred! As one who just spent 3 days as a “guest” at one of our finer institutions of health myself (unplanned), I at least got out without them having to make any new access points to my insides. I was not looking forward to that prospect. You have my prayers for a smooth recovery. I’m sure you heard it often from them–take things slow and with lots of Advil. I’m on the mend as well, but the first casualty seems to have been a proper sleep pattern. Weird, drug-induced hallucinations and a total lack of ability to concentrate in the workshop make building anything for the railroad a scary proposition. I honestly don’t know which frightens me more–the prospect that I might come out with some weird Frankenstein-looking engine reminiscent of Piko’s "Blue Comet, or a scale model of an SD-70 that I would actually want to run. Either one at this point seems equally deplorable, so I’m just not going to take that chance. I told myself that in my current state of mind, if I want to build anything new, I have to clean the workshop first. That should keep me at bay for the better part of the Winter. By then, I should have better control of my faculties.
Hang in there!
K
Glad to hear your progress, Fred.

I trusted myself with an Exacto knife this morning, and came away without damaging the flat car I’m working on, or myself. I must be recovering…!!
Your doing way better then me Fred. I look at a knife and cut appears…
Ken, a new Xacto blade isn’t happy until it tastes blood.
Glad to have you back Fred.
Thank goodness it was a flatcar you were working on thought the meant you were using the exacto knife to remove the staples!
