FOUR Garratts!

Had to happen, folks. On friday 31 August we will have FOUR Garratts runnng over at Trevor’s place. Much video will be tooked…two maroon, one black and one lined-out mid-green…[dribble]. Interesting to note that out of the four, three have so far needed major attention.

Just got my custom cab-side loco plates from the maker, Diane Carney. I only need two, but she made five [one of which is spoiled by a badly trimmed edge] so if anybody wants a set of Alfred Country Railway NG/G16 plates, now’s your chance!!!

As usual, I’ll post details of the vids after the event, in case anybody might want to see them.

Best to all -

Hi Tac

Interesting you mention Diane Carney - she made my plates for the Fowler, but didn’t trim them at all - it was an H of a job to do…very good plates indeed, but not cheap.

Her Godson later visited my modest line, a young feller by the name of Dibnah…might not mean much in the US, but in the UK…!!!

Mine, too, are untrimmed, to my surprise. For that amount I had really expected them to be trimmed, painted and fixed to the locomotive as well by a craftsman in a Rolls-Royce workshop van.

AND I provided ALL the artwork as well…hmmmmmm

Anyway, I’ll save a set for you for when you get your Garratt…[wink].

Best wishes
